Sanku Deploys Next-Generation Fortification Technology
Sanku has begun deploying a new generation of Dosifiers designed to accelerate the scale and reliability of food fortification across Eastern Africa. The next-generation machines are easier to install, more robust in challenging milling environments, and equipped with improved technology to ensure precise and consistent micronutrient dosing.
The rollout builds on Sanku’s original Dosifier, recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of 2019. The upgraded units further strengthen millers’ ability to deliver fortified flour that meets national standards while minimizing operational complexity.
As of the close of FY2025, Sanku has installed more than 1,400 Dosifiers across the region, reaching nearly 32 million people daily with fortified food. The new technology supports Sanku’s broader ambition to reach 100 million people annually by 2028 by making fortification more scalable, reliable, and cost-effective for millers of all sizes.
