Former Tanzanian President Dr. Jakaya Kikwete Joins Sanku Board

Sanku appointed H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Kikwete has played a central role in advancing nutrition and public health policy in Tanzania, including signing the country’s first mandatory food fortification law. His experience spans leadership roles with the African Union, the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement, Nutrition International, and the World Refugee and Migration Council, as well as academic leadership as Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam. His appointment strengthens Sanku’s governance as it continues to scale its work across Africa.
