Sanku Endorses Global Call to Accelerate Food Fortification
At the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, Sanku joined more than 30 organizations in endorsing a landmark Call to Action urging governments, civil society, the private sector, and international organizations to accelerate large-scale food fortification and help end child malnutrition by 2030.
The Call to Action outlines five priority pathways to strengthen food fortification as a cornerstone of global efforts to combat hidden hunger, recognizing that malnutrition remains one of the world’s most urgent and solvable public health challenges.
Sanku’s support reflects the impact of its work across Eastern Africa, where partnerships with governments and millers help deliver fortified flour to more than 73 million people every day. By making the foods families already eat more nutritious, food fortification offers a proven, cost-effective solution that improves nutrition without requiring changes in diet or behavior.
Sanku is proud to stand alongside governments and global partners in advancing this shared commitment and turning ambition into action to ensure every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
Join the call to catalyze large-scale food fortification and end child malnutrition today.
